Thank a lot for many comments of DA people.
I modified her hip and horse's neck and chest which are pointed out by many people. I agree with your opinions and satisfy my modified work now.
Thanks again to everybody. :D

Well, with that petite frame, she couldn't deal with a complete set of plated armor, anyway. :-)

Is it entirely practical to have pointy bits poised straight at the solar plexus (and the clavicle)?

While the technique and colouring are quite lovely, I have to wonder, what on earth happened to that poor horse's neck?! Horses(even mythical winged ones) do not work that way I'm afraid. It's like it has, two chests, the part covered by the fancy armour, and the bulge above it. Not to mention the 'boobs and butt pose'  on the lady knight and her disturbing lack of armour, or even pants on below the waist. :/ The anatomy is just all kinds of whack.

It seems that you're right. When I draw this figure, there was a reference photo of horse. But, because my study about the anatomy of animals such as horses was lacking, it seems that there was a mistake. Thank you for a good opinion. :D

Not to mention more realistic. I mean, you don't see the dude knights running (or flying) around with their butts hanging out, so why make the females do it?

So then illustrate the men doing such, and it would be even?

There are quite a few old-school fantasy artists that did do images where the men wore quite skimpy clothing. Rather often too.

Not what I said, man. :) Neither should be depicted wearing armor that is impractical if the goal is realism and believability. However, if the goal is simply to create a nice piece of artwork with unique, interesting design aspects, then by all means, throw reality and practicality out the window. I won't deny the armor (if it can be called that) here looks cool, it's just I see enough half-naked/inappropriately clothed women in art already, so it gets kind of old. :)

I can honestly say I've never seen any of this artwork that you've mentioned. Got any specific examples or links?

No, it's half of what you said. The other half pertained to realism.

In either case. It's hard to argue realism and believability depending on the subject matter, and even then it can also depend on any type of context the piece might be given.
Since all we have is a small blurb about what and for whom the image was illustrated for, all the viewers have is their own imagination, which they can forgo and just take it as a random image if desired.

Some artists to look into; Frank Frazetta, Ken Kelly, Keith Parkinson, Larry Elmore, Jeff Easley, and to a lesser extent, Mark E. Rogers. There are plenty more.
You will find many a naked or scantly clade women, but also plenty of men.

Nah, I meant about your interpretation of my comment about clothing/armor, or lack thereof. I never said that since female warriors, etc. are depicted half-naked or whatever that the men should be also. I said that since the men (typically, usually) aren't, then the women should be granted similar respect. Sorry if it seemed like I was advocating for male knights and female knights alike to go running or flying around bare-assed, 'cause it's certainly not what I meant. :)

In the grand scheme of things, I realize this whole issue is vastly unimportant and trivial. I was just excited to see (the thumbnail of) an art piece of a female knight who appeared to be wearing clothing/armor that fully covered her body and made her look like a respectable, convincing warrior, only to be sorely disappointed upon actually clicking the image. But whatever. I guess to each their own. And if the point wasn't practicality and realism, then hey, props to the artist for daring to be so...daring with the design. ;)

Thanks for the info. :)

Men used to be depicted scantly in battle scenes a lot more, but that 'trend' has fallen out of fashion as of late. Many of the characters that helped to make such images popular are no longer main stream either.
Personally, I don't tend to care as long as there is a backstory or caption that isn't half-assed. If there isn't and I know the content enough that a scenario isn't really all that farfetched, will also make it easier to deal with. But there is also the fact that past civilizations did ride and do battle in clothes and armor that many would find 'ridiculous', 'uncomfortable', or whathaveyou.
Not that I want to see half naked men or women running around all the time, but I don't want to see people calling every image that has bare skin 'catering', 'unrealistic', or some such either. That's also something that has been running rampent on this site, more so for the female focused images than the male.
There are/have been worse images with characters more fully clothed, which people seem to be turning a blind eye to lately.

But yes, text got misinterpreted.
